Hey man, nice video. I have the same stove and did the same thing. I have a question for you? I placed three screws with nut on outside of pipe and the actual long stove pipe assembly over what you basically just built. I noticed you placed the long pipe under the short pipe. Is there a reason why you placed it in other than moisture? This is my first wood stove W3. Is that standard to place in not over? And man do I love the wild wild West stove. I take that thing everywhere during my backpacking and pack out winter excursions.

Way too much work cutting and splitting wood. Just gather wood already sized and start the stove. No reason to carrying a big old saw and knife to start a fire with the Bushbuddy.

Yep. I've upgraded to an Esker stove. Worth every pound. Just not so portable I'm afraid. The titanium stove works great with my updated pipe. I used 3 inch ducting instead of the rolled one and solved the issue by directing the creosote down into the stove as opposed on top of it.

It's wonderful to stay by the water. The nature around you can be very beautiful. You still need your fishing rod and a good fish to finish. I have the same stove that I use it with a Luxe MiniPeak tent. I shortened the pipe by about 18 inches, so 2/3 of the pipe is inside the tent and my stove jack seals around it. That helps keep it warm. Also, I've made it a habit to clean the screen out before I damper it down for the night. I'll definitely be extra vigilant when I'm out this weekend.

    • @WildernessBushcraft

I always clamp an elbow on the top of my pipe to keep snow and rain out of it. It does a decent job. Thank You. This was a good video.

Also an addition worth looking into. The elbow is a great idea.

The forest draws me in. I find in him the same charm as in the mountains, but he is more calm and friendly. The forest does not have such an extent as large mountain ranges, it quickly closes and contains a microuniverse that isolates a person as reliably as desert spaces. A whole world of herbs, flowers, fungi and insects leads an independent life there, into which we can only be accepted if we show patience and humility. After walking through the forest for several tens of meters, you forget about the outside world, one universe is replaced by another, less pleasant to look at, but more attractive to hearing and smelling. Goods that were considered lost are being revived: silence, freshness, peace. Proximity with the plant world grants what the sea now denies us and for which the mountains make us pay too high a price.

Spoken like a Shaman... I feel the same about nature. It resets me. One can truly find themselves in the outdoors.
